Konohagakure is one of the five great ninja villages and said to be the mightiest of the five. On a mountain overlooking the villages from the north exists the Hokage Monument. The village resides in the Land of Fire. Although Konoha, much like the country in which it resides, has been peaceful for the past sixteen years and has grown accustomed to that peace, it remains one of the most powerful villages in existence and has great military power and influence.

Kumogakure is the hidden village of the Land of Lightning. The ninja from this village seem to specialize in Lightning Release techniques. It is located on a high mountain, literally hidden in the clouds. The Raikage lives in a big building built into the tallest mountain.

Iwagakure is the hidden village of the Land of Earth. Its symbol is made of two rocks, with a smaller one in front of a larger one. The ninja from this village seem to specialize in Earth Release techniques.

Kirigakure called Kiri for short, is located in the Land of Water. It is also the place from which the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist hail. Kiri's layout is relatively unknown.

The Fire country is marked by forests, helping to give rise to its ninja village "hiding in its leaves". The Fire Country is home to many cities, including Konohagakue no Sato, Tanzaku Gai, Otafuku Gai, Otakame Sato and Tokkuriji.

The Wind country is marked by deserts and dry mountain ranges. During the last shinobi war the country took most of the countries north and western to itself.

The country is marked by a long coastline. During the last Shinobi war the Land Of Lighting took the least amount of countries then any of the other five. For there least amount of effort in the war they've been named the least powerful of the five countries.

The country is marked by earthen cliff dwellings. The earth country has always had a war like attitude towards the fire country.

| Land Of Water
The country coupled with it being an island grants the country a great defense against outside threats. The greatest threats to the country seem to come from within, constant wars and strife has caused many citizens and ninja to turn against themselves and the country leadership. The Land of Water is the only country to not be involved in the last Shinobi war.
